2. Responsibilities

2.1 Management

Management at The Craft Station Online is responsible for establishing and promoting a strong culture of health and safety. They will provide the necessary resources, training, and support to ensure a safe workplace. Management will lead by example, actively participating in health and safety initiatives, and encouraging all employees to prioritize safety.

2.2 Employees

Every employee is accountable for their safety and the safety of others. They must comply with all health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines set by the company. Employees are encouraged to report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards promptly to their supervisor or management.

3. Risk Assessment and Hazard Management

We are committed to conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and evaluate risks associated with our operations. This includes assessing the safe use of ladders inside and outside the shop and during events. Control measures will be implemented to mitigate risks, and hazardous situations will be promptly addressed to prevent accidents and injuries.

4. Safe Use of Ladders

• Employees will receive proper training on the safe use of ladders, including how to inspect them for defects before use.
• Ladders must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and industry best practices.
• Proper footings and secure placement will be ensured when using ladders indoors or outdoors.
• Adequate supervision and assistance will be provided for tasks involving ladders.
• Employees will avoid overreaching while on a ladder and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.

5. Events at Different Locations

For events held at different locations, The Craft Station Online will:

• Conduct a thorough risk assessment of the event venue to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures specific to each event location.
• Ensure that event staff are adequately trained in health and safety measures relevant to the event.
• Provide appropriate first aid facilities and emergency response plans tailored to the event location.

6. RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement)

For events or activities involving higher risk, we will prepare comprehensive Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS). These documents will outline the identified risks, control measures, and safe working practices to be followed during the event or activity. RAMS will be communicated to all relevant personnel, and adherence to the identified safety measures will be strictly enforced.

7. Incident Reporting and Investigation

In the event of any accident, injury, or near-miss incident, employees must report it immediately to their supervisor or management. All incidents will be thoroughly investigated to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
